RE: Corberan Watch - Lurker#3 - 02-09-2025 Great record so far if they see that game out. RE: Corberan Watch - Squid - 02-09-2025 Two goals in the first half is very CC. An excellent result for them. RE: Corberan Watch - Lurker#3 - 02-09-2025 Some form they are showing considering the cluster fuck of the season before he went there. To pick up 10 points from 5 is top of the table form. A sequence of win draw win draw and a loss or two games will get them around the 15th position and pretty much safe. RE: Corberan Watch - Jacko - 02-10-2025 He's got 10 points from his 6 games. Only lost to Real Madrid and Barcelona. They'll be absolutely fine. Prior to his arrival they had 12 points from 17 games. Top top coach. RE: Corberan Watch - fuzzbox - 02-10-2025 He did the same for us when we were struggling. But, once he's cracked the organisation and discipline, can he introduce and accommodate the flair needed for the next level? Not knocking him even slightly. He never really got to that stage with us, so who knows the answer? But I did feel it was a question that was about to start being asked. RE: Corberan Watch - Jacko - 02-10-2025 Didn't have a striker worth the name in his time here. I'd have loved to see an Adam Armstrong in a CC team. Alas we move and I think we've done just about as well as was possible getting Mowbray. Back to Valencia, he's working with what was left there before he took over as he did here. It's a remarkable turnaround with the same players. They have a half decent striker though in Hugo Duro. Maja is still the third highest scorer in the league, and he's hardly played since Carlos left, so he had more of a striker than most at his disposal. RE: Corberan Watch - Squid - 02-15-2025 I'm going to say it here. I loved Corberan ball. For the first time in years, all the players looked fit and all the players knew their jobs and particularly at home, we could see out a match fairly effortlessly. Win, lose or draw, whenever he spoke about a match, he had always seen the same match I had. For two glorious years, I rarely disagreed with the team selection, or anything for that matter. We had one of the best managers available. But no, that wasn't good enough for some of our fans who started bleating and crying about Pulis. I knew we'd lose him at some point this season, but I didn't realise all his hard work would be so quickly discarded. |
