Dumbo Wrote:Binning Kipre, not going for Clarke only to sign Ciaran Clark would be absolutely comical. If that’s the setting the standard for our recruitment this Summer, we’re fucked.
When you put it like that...... Dodgy

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - Borin' Baggie - 05-20-2022

Unless we bin both Bartley and Kipre, why do we need to sign another centre half? We currently have 5 (excluding youth players and players who can slot in there) which is more than enough if we're going to buy a 4. Seems like an easy article because of Bruce being our manager more than it having any legs.

Ohhhh yay it's get your knickers in a twist over transfer rumours time again, yay! Wonder if anyone is bored enough to do the stats on how many names mentioned on this 160 pager actually ended up signing, and of the, I'm guessing, vast majority, of names that didn't how many did people (and monkeys) get their poxes in a fluster about?

Meanwhile, the Express & Star understands there is no truth in reports linking Albion with Conor Hourihane, Karl Darlow or Elliot Anderson.

Speculation in some papes has claimed the Baggies are interested in signing Villa midfielder Hourihane and Newcastle goalkeeper Darlow.

It was also claimed Albion would like to sign Newcastle youngster Anderson on loan after he impressed during a temporary spell at Bristol Rovers last season.

But the Express & Star understands none of those three players are targets for Bruce this summer.

Phew !

Shame on Anderson, looks a very good player and is a midfielder with a goal threat. Relief on the other two!

Worry is that the article didn't deny the Ciaran Clark rumours.

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - BoingBoing2022 - 05-25-2022

Bruce is a fan of Clark.

I saw Bruce crossing Halfords Lane, going into that Plant Hire place and driving out in a mini digger. He was heading towards Walsall Rd last I saw?
