That rule about one parent was only until 12th April. According to my lads team it is fine from this weekend for others to attend

they have changed the venue on saturday where the school would not allow any parent to a pitch at barnhurst penderford and only allowing one parent

Don't know then. My lad plays on Sundays and as far as we are aware we are fine from this weekend.
Edit: Checked the FA website. It was initially one parent and has now changed to both parents ( or carer). So you are correct - as a grandparent you are still excluded.

Another week of about 20% reduction in the numbers in hospital in England which is again good news. None of the easing of restrictions appears to be making a dent in the reduction week on week so again so far so good.
Vaccinations also continue at a decent pace with just under 63% of the adult population having received their 1st jab and over 20% having received their second dose.
Worrying sounds from Doctors about a potential summer surge: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56830398 but I think it needs to be balanced with everything currently moving in the right direction and the difference between cases, which this is talking about, and hospitalisations and ultimately deaths. At the moment I don't see it being a massive problem and I would be more concerned with the delay in stopping travellers from India until this week, that was another unnecessary delay by the government when it was obvious what was happening.

32 people since Sept who have been inoculated have been hospitalised. Zero have died. 66% of the adult population have been jabbed. The ONS releases antibody data on Weds. The last data was 54% as at the middle of March. My kitchen sink maths suggests we are approaching 65% now, and closer to herd immunity.
I do not agree with the protests today, it is against the law, but Christ, they have a point.

The people who are most against lockdowns are the people that do the most to ensure the lockdowns endure.

Then protesters are utter shit cunts, they put the lives of fair minded citizens for there own selfish needs. They will never learn it’s these utter wankers that spread the disease though total lack of respect of the thousands who have died. They are the first to moan when something happens to themselves or their family,when they cannot get treated because the hospitals are overwhelmed. Walking the streets heckling shoppers who are going about there business and the poor police have no power to do anything because of the size of the crowd. They have no point all they do is disrupt the the lives of the fair minded citizens who are just trying to get on with there lives in a peaceful way. Send them all to Brazil or India let’s see if there protests work there . As they would have no where to walk before tripping over the coffins of the poor rapidly dying citizens.

Hopefully so KKC, and as long as we carry on with the cautious approach of opening up slowly it doesn't look like we will return to lockdown. The vaccination programme is holding up well by the looks of it and continuing to be rolled out to the majority of people successfully. What were they actually protesting about? Do they just want it all opened up now, if so they must be completely ignorant of what has happened over the past 12 months and what is happening in other countries - idiotic.
