They might have second thoughts and they are American and not used to this at sports events.

I really wouldn't worry. They bought a stake in Bologna who have a very chequered recent history in crowd violence with their ultra's attacking Torino and Milan fans in some serious violent clashes.

If they are serious about wanting to invest in a British football club and aren't aware of the rivalry and tribal nature of the game then I'd be very surprised. Hooliganism is known throughout football in the UK and Europe and has been for decades. It's not put off other investors in other clubs.

‘Hooliganwashing’ !

There's also plenty of hoolaganism at American sports, it just usually happens outside the ground.

I'm guessing the 'stand your ground' law would also put off a fair amount of trouble!

It was a bit feisty at Yankees v Red Sox, last season of the old stadium.

Yesterday morning when Mr Patel calls Mrs P into the living to put the Albion game on.

"Look honey, this is the sports team I'm investing in"

*Clicks the TV on to live footage of someone's grandad volleying a wolves fan through the centre circle*

Cheshire-based lawyer Chris Farnell is making a renewed attempt to buy a minority stake in West Bromwich Albion.

Farnell has reportedly been in talks about buying into the Baggies for a number of months in partnership with local businessman Alex Hearn.

Yay, more people who actually don't have any money!

RE: Takeover - Derek Hardballs - 01-29-2024

Sounds awful, small time and will probably see us closer to Walsall than Wolves in the next BC Derby. Jeeze is that the best we can do?

And it's a done deal, Derek?
