If so a lead of 187 is enough to declare on and could be enough to force the win.

Tahts why i'd bat till around tea and try and get north of 150 more runs.

I think there will a surprising amount of play tomorrow and Sunday.

Saturday a wash out we need to score quickly today because we will lose a hour or two because of the showers.

I dont think it will be a wash out looking at AccuWeather. Think we will lose a couple hours deffo but not all day.

Anything Saturday is a bonus I reckon, also think Sunday we may be looking at 2/3rd day at best

I'd be tempted to get them in before lunch 13-150 lead, playing time is the only thing which threatening us in this test

Cameron Green somehow reminds me of the young lad out of This Is England.

Anyway, as you were.

Can’t see why we’d do that. 150 lead is probably 4 hours of batting by Aus to make us bat again. There’ll be more than 4 hours play in the test from lunch today onwards.

Get the runs now while we can score super fast, and try to only bat once.

Well, Bears didn't bat very well.

I'm watching the wrong match.

Agree. Bat aggressively, any time up up till Tea. But to be fair if we can hit another 100/130 then it might be worth getting them in and have a right go at them. Getting them early might reduce the risk of them trying to bat out for the draw.

RE: It's The Ashes (again) - SuperBob2002 - 07-21-2023

I genuinely believe we can bowl them out for 180.

RE: It's The Ashes (again) - ChamonixBaggie - 07-21-2023

Yep, with Stokes Mindset I think he'll fancy 180 odd. Overcast with a tired and demoralised Aussie side, it's doable for sure.

Good win for the Pears today as well, though some batting points might be nice one day...

Sounds like Tongue was pissed off at being left out of England and took it out on Leicestershire.

England have scored their quickest rate in this series. They've hit it sensibly. Bazball with brains.

Exactly how it should be.
