777 have already pumped £140m+ into Everton.
A small deposit into the club's current account would be a great sign.

That’s horribly complex.  Would it be debt or equity?  If it’s debt then it’s adding to liabilities and that’s very dangerous if the deal doesn’t go through.  It can’t obviously be equity as that would potentially  require EFL approval and in any event would complicate a sale.

As another poster had said, Everton got in trouble for that.

And this highlights exactly why Everton should not be relying upon 777.

I think Everton are in a very deep hole indeed.

Jeeze. That’s absolutely crackers. Do you think they might go to the wall prag? What a mess

RE: Takeover - Babel - 01-16-2024

Is right. Makes you wonder why anyone thinking about economic rationality would buy a club, if promo means permission to lose 100 million

RE: Takeover - CaptainFantastico - 01-16-2024

My take on the article is the funders are fucked and no company on earth is gonna wanna touch the mess that’s left behind

Somebody would surely pick it up cheap in administration if it got that far, but I can see relegation via a further points deduction.  Not sure that Dyche can get them to 58-60 points on the pitch which they may well need.

Forest may well go down too with a points deduction.

At least Everton are less likely now to pursue Tom
Fellows.

An absolute farce though that Everton and Forest are being punished when City and Chelsea seem to be able to defer their cases.  That’s the real scandal here.  All 4 clubs could be relegated and in some cases possibly should.  In fact, relegation to the Championship would see City and Chelsea get off lightly if they lose their respective cases.

It’s a mess, but why should all other clubs bother to be compliant with the rules if they aren’t going to be consistently applied?

Another club who seem to have gotten away with FFP that no one in the press seems to be talking about!

Selling SealPrick for £100M helped them.
