RE: Flag shaggers - Baggiejacko - 08-19-2025 It isn't the nigh on 30 years of government causing problems for the majority of the population in lots of areas, it's the refusal to do anything to halt it and start the reversal of the situation. Being unable to rent cheap housing, have access to a doctor, dentist and seeing people sneak into the country and get preferential treatment is bound to piss people off. The majority complain peacefully but some minute amount get violent. Not everyone lives in Weoley Castle ffs. The problem now is that some of the peaceful ones are at their wits ends. Spend a few months in their shoes before being so down on them. When life is already shit a change can only make life better by gambling. It would only be stupid to opt for more of the same RE: Flag shaggers - tHEgLASSdOORS - 08-19-2025 Thought it was just celebrating the women’s euros? Make your mind up fella. Logic should tell you that isn't going to be great for the average person on the street. RE: Flag shaggers - CarlosCorbewrong - 08-19-2025 I can confirm that the spontaneous outburst of celebration has reached Worcester as of this morning. You are happy to blame a certain demographic whilst pointing out the foolishness of other people blaming certain demographics. Considering you couldn’t work out twice in one tiny thread I posted who posted what reply I wouldn’t be so quick to criticise others. Labour are offering very little alternative to what Sunak offered, that’s a major reason that those on the extremes of political discourse have seized the narrative and Labour are left trying to do Bovby Davro style impressions of Tory and Reform rhetoric just in the forlorn hope they will attract those voters. It’s never going to happen and their is no alternative story being told for a better future under Labour. I'm on the edge of Bromsgrove where it meets Solihull and all over Hollywood we have these flags. My biggest learning here is that Bromsgrove and Solihull share a border. Who knew?! RE: Flag shaggers - baggy1 - 08-19-2025 Population has grown 13M since 1990, of that approx 7M has been net migration and of those 7M the vast majority are needed to work in industries that support the population, health and welfare (the doctors and dentists that you want more of). We have an ageing population that needs immigration to make the system work. You flying a flag for a few months before it becomes tattered and torn will solve nothing. I'm pointing out your talking of discourse sown by bots and politicians whilst at the same time believing discourse sown by bots and politicians. When I make a mistake I recognise it, you on the other hand can't see that you are doing what you criticise. Labour have had just over 12 months with very little room to do anything and are trying to deal with problems that are being discussed - like the one you are discussing now. That's not a defence that's a reality. RE: Flag shaggers - Baggiejacko - 08-19-2025 (08-19-2025, 10:16 AM)tHEgLASSdOORS Wrote: Thought it was just celebrating the women’s euros? Yup but only an idiot bets on the dead cert losers that are the alternative atm. 14 years of making life shit for people replaced by this lot hell bent on making things worse. Nothing to lose really by voting for Reform as far as a lot of people will be concerned unless there's a dramatic change. Who are you replying to when you say ‘you flying a flag’? Can you perhaps point out where I’m believing the discourse? Seriously you’re just making crap up now, that bares no relation to what I actually posted. As for admitting your mistakes you never even acknowledged that it wasn’t me you were replying to, calling me out for picking on you, when I hadn’t even replied to you, or mentioned you in the entire thread. You’re doing the same in this thread, when did I mention you? Who jumped in with studs showing in the replies? The reality is Labour need to offer an alternative to the last 14 years, not more of same. They have lost the narrative to the right wing and they offer nothing positive as a counter argument. Saying politics is l hard for the next four years isn’t going to help them implement any decent policies they might have over the long term. With all due respect that is an idiotic position for any voter to take. The same con men that visited your door selling unicorns and sunlit uplands are now selling you more shit that will never arrive.
