Maxwell has hit a 50 for Bears. (He has been awful with the bat in this season's T20, mind).

He couldn't get a call up, could he.

Don't remotely see it. They'd have to drop 2 batters to get him in, who else would they consider dropping other than Warner? Their other batters have performed, or are named Marnus, who they ain't dropping.

Drop 2 batters because they'd be looking to get Green/Marsh both in before Maxwell.

It's about as likely as me getting a call up  Big Grin

He's played nicely today, albeit in a match situation with very little pressure and favourable batting conditions.

And then he gets out to an absolute pie of a delivery. It's always the way, that.

Is there any point in dropping Warner when his replacement is another left-hander who averages less than thirty? Do they try and bring Cam Green back into the side? Does Marsh keep his place? I wouldn't be surprised if they went without a spin option at OT and played the two all rounders with Carey at eight.

Exactly what I think they'll do, extend the batting line up and ask Head to do some overs of spin

They only need a draw and the weather forecast could play a part

This is the kind of thing a genuine wicket keeper can do. They can win you matches.

I am NOT anti-Bairstow. He deserves a place in this side as a batsman alone, but we really should be picking Foakes.

There’s talk of dropping Warner for Green and promoting Head to open

That might nullify one of Australia's biggest batting threats!

So it's Jimmy in for Ollie. Fair enough. No other changes. As expected I suppose.

So sentiment trumps common sense.

Robinson publicly announced he was suffering back spasms in the previous game. His fitness has improved dramatically in the last 18 months so there's no need to overdo it.
