Think we want about 20 league games unbeaten in 78-79

We won 2 and drew 7 (99-00 season)

I just remember thinking it was 11 matches then, God knows why, old brain. Didn't we then nearly get relegated?

The draws that turned to defeats - and then the players started getting sold off after we over stretched.

Dreadful season that

Lord Megson saved us on the last day after Paul Thomson had wrestled control of the club from Tony Hale, as I recall.

RE: Unbeaten - cornishbaggie - 09-29-2019

As pointed out, the last time we went 9 league games undefeated was 99/00 and we had to beat Charlton on the final day to avoid relegation.

Seem to remember a certain A Hunt in the Charlton team kindly forgetting to pack his shooting boots that day! (beat me to it, Manc).
