So McCullum is batting is he. This is the way we play no arrogance, just positive in there believe since Stokes took over captaincy.we have won more than we’ve lost you know. This is better than watching the boring 200 in 90 overs under previous regimes. RE: It's The Ashes (again) - SuperBob2002 - 07-09-2023 Batting positions are weird to me. Clearly Brook favours batting at 4 and is comfortable there but didn't look comfortable at 3, yet I'd argue he basically came in at 3 given how quickly Ali got out. Is batting at 3 really that different to batting at 4? (Genuine question, this). This ridiculous style of cricket is hindering our best batsman. I just don't get it. We should go on and win this Test (if we don't it will be a serious shitshow) but the brand we're trying to play has to change. Should have just left a short one going leg-side? He didn’t get hold of it, end of. Fuck all to do with the brand you keep on about. A shot he wouldn't even consider playing if he was allowed to play his natural game... Ok see what you mean but our tail is not as long as normal and the likes of Broad,Wood and Robinson are no absolute donkeys. It’s the hope that kills. We should go on and win this Test (if we don't it will be a serious shitshow) but the brand we're trying to play has to change. Is it? See the first shot he played to his first ball. Root isn't playing the game that comes naturally to him. He's playing an unfamiliar style that has been drilled into him by McCullum. So he’s not playing his natural game, how come he averages more under the McCullum - Stokes regime than before. I’m sorry but you talk utter rubbish. |
