Now the head of the organisation is running away and buggering off. What would you do with the BBC? Shamelessly stolen question from LBC.
First thing is an urgent review what it pays it's presenters... for example Shearer circa 400k pa, for what? I'm sure the public could do without.

Secondly point out that as a national broadcaster, paid for by the nation, it should have no "core demographic" target, particularly prevalent in radio.. where can an "oldie" listen to 50s & 60s music?

Thirdly.. Yes we are a multicultural society, but not every programme needs to hammer home this point.. A national broadcaster should have no agendas.. be they political or social.

Fourthly.. Fuck Mrs Browns Boys & Eastenders right off!
Same as I'd have done before he left - stopped the licence fee.

Its become a dumbed down, celebrity obsessed shadow of what it was, and seems to want to bring identity politics into every single news story, sports story, drama - just about everything they do (except the weather perhaps).

Can't stand it myself, and I certainly don't want to pay for it.

Edit: and stop paying their favourites (bell ends like Lineker) so bloody much.
Oh and realise not every football supporter supports Man fucking Utd and Liver bastard pool.

spot on. Identity politics and the subtle ( and sometimes not so subtle) pushing of a culturally liberal agenda is really all the BBC seem interested in nowadays. That's not to say there isn't some great content, but its position is being sorely abused.
It's also grossly unfair to it's competitors that anyone who owns a device capable of receiving broadcasts is legally obliged to pay for it (even if it does represent good value compared to sky etc).
Boris was spot on when he said the license fee is a general tax that can no longer be justified.
If they want to justify the license fee, they need to go back to focusing on programming that isn't commercially viable but is culturally important. Things like educational programming, documentaries, niche entertainment. Then commercialise the crap out of bigger ventures and work with other studios to cut costs. There's loads of big dramas that could be commercialised the crap out of. At the moment the license fee isn't fit for purpose.
Abolish the TV Licence.

That simple.

He has been shifted sideways so Johnson can put his own person in. It couldn't have got any more anti-Corbyn.
More diversity for a start
