I know, I know....

Never change a winning team. How can you change a side that’s won 6 in a row.

But with us paying Sunday, Wednesday and then Saturday morning, I’d be tempted to give a few a rest, so they’re fresh for Blues.

Wigan may be in free fall but it will still be a tricky game at a ground we don’t do very well at usually, so I wouldn’t change too much.

Team for Wigan

Johnstone
Ferguson Ajai Hegazi Townsend
Barry Sawyers
Phillips Periera Edwards
Austin

Team for Blues

Johnstone
Ferguson Ajai Bartley Gibbs (if fit)
Livermore Sawyers
Phillips Periera Diangana
HRK
Gibbs looks like he’ll be out for a while again. Bartley might also.
I think I’d only change that, but Slaven will know how they’re doing individually. The squad will be mixed about a bit soon I think.
I'd be amazed if we see Gibbs, even if it was merely a tweak, I wouldn't risk it. Agree we probably should rest a few though.
I thought he may consider changes for Wigan before the injuries picked up today, what with Blues on early Saturday

Can’t see Furlong not starting, also think Barry and Sawyers is risky, either/or for me, need Livermore’s energy, feel Krovinovic is the replacement for Jake, I’d go with this Wednesday

SJ

Furlong Hegazi Semi Ferguson

Barry Livermore

Edwards Pereira. Phillips

Austin

Diangana took a knock so I’d have as a bench option, I’d want both strikers on the bench, also not sure Bartley would be risked
Strong as we can be for Blues, which would be the same team as today, or Furlong for Gibbs if out

The Blues game will take care of itself....

Bartley is fine.

He was out applauding the fans doing a lap of honour at the final whistle.

Still think he may be rested at Wigan though.

You’re right about Gibbs though, looked a hammy. Hopefully precaution being taken off but maybe that’s wishful thinking.
Don't change a thing apart from Gibbs who I suspect we won't see again until March, Blues and Wigan will both play twice this week and have inferior squads to us.

Happened right by me. Think the potential positive is he pulled up straight away and wasn't at full tilt. I'd guess it's a 3-4 week job.
Let's not worry about Blues until Thursday. Concentrate on Wigan first and foremost. I wouldn't change the line up. Although I expect Gibbs to be out with Furlong moving to right back and Ferguson left back.
Slav was talking about a mask for Bartley within minutes of the final whistle. He wants his strongest team
