So far this season, I reckon that was it. Didn't play our best, Preston who are a top side in this division and unbeaten at home (W7, D2). Puts us 7 points in front of 3rd and to top it all of I put a fiver on us to win!

We've got a really busy December but no huge tests (Maybe Brentford on the 21st) until Leeds on New Years Day which could very likely decide who finishes 1st or 2nd. Things are looking good, COYB!!!!
I don’t know. They were weakened greatly by injuries. They obviously just wanted to hang on for a point. Anything other than a win would have been disappointing. We got it, but didn’t play well.

A point away at the side in sixth with the best home record in the league would hardly have been a disappointment. We’re not going to win every week.
Each win earns you 3 points. They're all equally important.
You've got to give Preston some credit. They were getting outplayed first half, but got closer to our players second half with some roughhouse stuff which worked for them.
Considering we were the away team, you've got to look at that as a compliment from a home team with a good home record concentrated more so on stopping us from playing.

I've thought that the rough house stuff is where we start to look a bit more fragile. When the opposition suppresses Livermore and Sawyers (or if both are suspended!) then we look less able to deal with things. The commentator on the stream I had on said similar, in that they were getting 2 or 3 players onto our players, or just bunching up in defence, and stopping us playing, and as such we only had one shot on target in the second half (which was a penalty). Of course the flip side is that if the side suppressing us isn't used to playing that way, like Preston, then it also impacts their creativity and opportunities too. We should take it as high praise when normally good teams change the way they play to stop us in their own back yards.

The team were weakened a lot as was made clear in the pre match talk. They played like an away side and were in fear of us. Aside of 10 mins in the second half we looked comfortable, if a little off the pace.
We normally pick up so many 2nd balls and we still did last night but it was untidy at times. Preston didn't make it easy for us and concentrated on filling the middle areas as much as possible, especially 2nd half which led to some rather wayward passing. Whenever we went wide the whole Preston side wold move across with it and so often we tried to switch play quickly but we're missing that final ball. It was very much like knowing what to do but being a little bit of executing it each time. I thought we still deserved to win the game so was pleased we got the penalty and converted.

Preston don't look a bad side and you can see how they are set up and their style but I think they really do need a good centre forward if they want to challenge.

Swansea potentially a tricky game. As is the derby game at Blues.
For me, in the 2nd half, I would have liked to see Krov come on a lot sooner. I felt that PNE were swamping our midfield and shoving us (literally) around. He would have steadied that. We looked a lot better once he did come on. I'd have brought Edwards on with just 10 left.

But we won, so WTF. Top of the league.
