All part of the game lets not get to prissy about this.

I'm saying this as someone who saw their own team wasting loads of time at 1-0 at our last home match, with the opposition then doing exactly the same once they'd stuck two goals past us.

The ball must have been in play for around 50 minutes. Teams have always wasted some time, but they're doing it with impunity now, knowing the ref might add three minutes or so at the most for the time wasted.

We played a match against Watford in our relegation season where the ball was calculated to have been in play for 42 minutes - that was 100% on Watford. It's just not fair on a paying public who basically expect to see much nearer to 90 minutes of football.

Teams really are taking the piss massively now.

Watford that season were another side like Bournemouth... lots of niggly fouls and gamesmanship but little or no attention drawn to it by the media.

(also, look who pipes up again after his team's had a decent result.... next you'll be showing off about how you have more clean sheets than us Wink)

Buzzin’ Mate. Doubled our points in one game.

Evening Nathan.

Evening Tony!
No way could I criticise time-wasting tactics after what we inflicted on teams under Pulis. I don't like using those tactics but I certainly reserve the right to use them against teams with significant monetary advantages over. Also, tbh, until I saw complaints on here, I didn't detect Huddersfield doing anything untoward.
You can slow the game down and take your time over free kicks, throw in s etc. But some of their players were rolling around or stopping and going down like Sheff Utd in the Battle of Bramall Lane. Then their first player to be subbed took an age to go off, whilst the sub they made at 3-2 sprinted like Usain Bolt off to the touchline. I know it was predictable, but still.

Worst instance of this I saw at Albion was Pulis for Stoke against us when we drew 1-1 the season we both went up.

Been saying this for years, ever since C4 Football Italia used to put the ball in play stat. It always used to be 58-62 minutes.

VAR has made it a totally different game at that level, so no qualms about this.

Yep read somewhere that 58 -62 is the norm across the main leagues in Europe.
