This is obviously going to be our issue this year, we all know HRK will run around and hold up the ball and bring others into the game but only contribute about 7 goals if we are lucky.

Zohore looks like he will not find it easy to score and may drop down the pecking order so we will be lucky to get 10 from him.

Then we have Austin, yes he can score goals but averages about 20 games a season, with the physical challenges of the championship being as they are, we will need Austin for at least 30 games, if he sustains another injury then how many points will our lack of gaols cost us?

We all know we have issues but are going to need Edwards, Kirov, Sawyers and Phillips, along with the new players to chip in and cause problems from midfield.

We will need to be more defensively sound to ensure our lack of goals does not cost us.

Think it's best to let the 4 attackers we've signed have a game first before making such a bold claim. I reckon we might score quite a few once they gel.
At present we look a little bit like Rodgers's Swansea (and indeed his Leicester yesterday) where it's possession for the sake of it due to a lack of clinical finishing/movement from strikers.

The new lads should give us a greater goal threat, but I do think we'll see a few games like Saturday this season where the opposition pack the middle and let us have as much of the ball as we want - reminiscent of our 3-0 against Swansea LY.

What's promising is that we've only let the opposition have 4 attempts on target in the last 2 games, however 2 of them have resulted in goals. One was a goalie error and one was a wholly avoidable defensive lapse, so provided this can be rectified (I don't think Millwall would have scored that goal with Hegazi in the box) we're in good shape.

Exactly, we're pretty solid all over, we just have no bite at the moment.

I wonder what the stats were for opposition chances and goals after two games last year?

Jebus! This is a bit OTT after only two games, 3 goals (yes 1 OG), 17 shots with 7 on target.
Same comments before the QPR game last season.....

Our esteemed PM has just announced measures to counteract this.

We’ve played 2 games. We’ve scored 3 goals and have 4 points. We have 4 new attacking players to come in to the squad.

Let’s give it a month, eh?

Exactly what I was thinking.  On paper,  the three wingers have more experience and are arguably as good if not better than Barnes when he joined us 12 months ago.
