You can blame the players, or the managers - IMO looking from above it's a management problem.
If the man at the top doesn't at least show he cares and his General is incompetent the whole place has a problem.
It's a question now of how far we fall from grace, before they jog on and we get an owner who cares and a General who
is competent in more then bean counting.

Eastmids, this has been going on for years mate! I'm 78 now, and doubt I'll ever see us in the Prem again, with the clowns and tossers in charge of this once great and respected old Club
Unfortunately, Lai isn’t anywhere to be seen and has his muppets running the club. Ultimately the finger points at the owners and since they took over, we have had very little to cheer about. With 3 weeks to go before the start of the season, the squad looks the complete opposite of last season where we supposedly had the best team in the league. I rate Bilic and hope we can give him what he needs, but I have little faith in the other leaders.

Agree mate you probably seem more than most on here and i respect and agree with your opinion .
It's been clear what has been happening and is well documented.
Thomson and Peace set a model that, with some elements of luck, worked and meant that Peace had the finances to build a successful period in the modern game. Unfortunately he got bored and wanted out, or he wanted to cash in when the value was high - this led to him doing enough to keep us where we were without gambling. Enter stage left Tony Pulis - investment stopped and we became a club that pissed away all of its income on safe bets that would maintain our status whilst no plans for the future were put in place. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a completely safe bet and our luck turned with Krychowiak, we blew our dough on a nag that was fit for glue.
From that point we were always scrambling to get back to where we were, and that is the problem with the modern game. When you get a club like ours that doesn't have any war chest being built up then as soon as we drain the well we are fucked.
Modern football, bad decisions, bad luck, loss of interest, take your pick - No point moaning, we dust ourselves off and start again.
