How Time flies by. I watched that in a pub in Henley in Arden with my parents and then pregnant wife. Now both my folks have left this mortal coil and the bump on my wife is now taller than her mother and currently shopping with her friends in Solihull, and she has a brother. The passing of time.
That Megson era was great. It was my best adult time as an Albion fan. The football wasn't great, but we had such guts and heart after years of has been managers and journeymen just picking up wages.
After that Meggo admitted he was telling Dyer to take it in the corner!
I was stood in a queue at Malaga airport and the word went round pretty quickly from a number of excited Albion fans in the same queue. Obviously one of those times where everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news.
Sean Gregan was superb in that game.
My lad was 10 months old and there was no way I was getting there.

Watching at my sister's (with my Dingle brother-in-law) I jumped out of my seat and shouted. He was in my sister's arms and started screaming as I'd frightened the life out of him!

He's (obviously) not far off 16 and might be allowed a beer at Reading on Monday as we are going on the train.
Watched at home and jumped up so high when we scored I smashed the lampshade on the ceiling light. Never got it replaced and every time I looked at it for years after reminded me of that goal.
Yet another brilliant away day under Meggo.  Sunderland was one of those grounds we got routinely beaten at - not any more.  Made the Bradford home game a formality.

Proper rough outside the SOL that day. The side streets around Roker were even worse
Hurt my back celebrating the goal and it was a very uncomfortable 7 hour drive back but bloody worth it.
Remember being 17 and heading to this as one of my first away days with a group of mates... got the Baggies coaches up and made use of the liberal policing of booze on board...The surge forward when the winner went in was fantastic, think I landed 3-4 rows away from the bloke I was stood/sat next to! Still have blood on the arm of the shirt I was wearing that day, and whenever I see it in the gym it reminds me of Dyer’s run and Megson and Burrows pointing to the corner flag!

There’s probably no more than 2-3 players in my life time I’d have rather that ball fell to than Koumas that day... Hughes and SuperKev would have buried it but can’t say I’d have much faith in anyone else!
