Sneaking them on the rich kids philips 2000 vcr! Jaws, I spit on your grave, texas chainswaw massacre, the exorcist, poltergeist, the omen, hills have eyes....
I can barely remember the films, but I remember the excitement leading up to it.
(That Jaws scene when a rubber doll appears - it was shit even then)

What a surprise that some people are being exercised by this, it's not like PG is X-rated. I'm pretty sure Ventvogel - one of the characters in King Solomon's mines - was referred to as a 'hottentot' in the book (possibly in the film as well - don't think I've ever seen it!). Never occurred to me - nor anybody else probably - that it might have been a derogatory term; then again, this was Tipton before the tide of gentrification.
It was one of the books we did in English when I was about twelve, along with (from memory) The Tempest and She stoops to conquer. Is it any wonder I still exhibit evidence of the trauma.
