Also a lot of people do not understand the definition of scapegoat. Observational criticism is not spacegoating. Spacegoating would involve blaming all of the ills of the club, or results, on one or two players and that simply doesn't happen.

Exactly. We've haven't had proper spacegoating since Sam Johnstone left.

I take you you've missed the Townsend and Furlong posts?

What about when the observational criticism often centres on the same select players and is more often than not total bollocks? Might not be spacegoating but it smells similar.

When has that happened though, and what exactly are they being blamed for? General mood after last two games was pretty good, I thought.

If one of them is Grady, then I fail to see any evidence of him being blamed for anything, he hasn't even been here for a month. He's now come back into a good side, playing well and he looked off the pace. He has also seen Tom Fellows and Mikey Johnstone dominate the wide positions so was dropped into the 10, which didn't really suit. All fair mitigation, but doesn't detract from the fact that he was not at his best.

Presuming the other one is Reach, well, his contribution was lauded by the majority on Saturday.

Child's play compared to what used to happen.

Johnstone famously described as the "worst since Crichton" following his debut.

Grant was slated on here for being a one trick pony and always cutting in from the wing to put it on his right foot for a shot.

Strange….  as to that’s what Celtic fans said about Johnston.

And Johnston has mostly done exactly the same at Albion as Grant

Yet one’s a messiah on here and the other a lazy player.

It’s a funny old game

Anyhows,  I had chicken curry last night which was lush.  Thanks for asking Big Grin
