My view for what it’s worth, and I’ve voiced it on here, is that he is an ok sub when we have something to defend, but a pointless one when we are chasing the game. This is, however, an opinion and not, in any way shape or form, abuse.

I take it you missed him hitting the post and nearly winning us the game on Saturday then?

No I didn't, did you miss the rest of my sentence?

No, I'm simply pointing out that your opinion isn't that valid given Reach was our best substitute on Saturday and almost won us the game, when we were chasing a win.

We were also defending a point and that is where he's effective. When we are behind however, he does not have the same impact and shouldn't replace a younger, faster, more dynamic option.
Just my opinion of course, but, as it's invalid, I shall not expect a response.
Simply, and I would say this is a universal thing for all decent football fans, criticise all you want about players you see as substandard, but when you start calling them cunts etc you are the only cunt in town.
Having the ability to articulate players performances in your eyes is the entry level for anyone who wishes to have an opinion worth listening to.
As regards our fans, social media etc, it's all clubs that have some proper pond life who write vile stuff online. Just ignore them and don't go to the places they frequent as it'll make you feel rubbish.
Equally, in the ground support your team- when you're abusing a player you're actually contributing to the other team, so that makes you a total idiot.
There is constructive criticism and there is abuse if you think a player is playing below expectations you day it on here at no point do you @ them on twitter that is a cunts trick .

For me, it's the pre-formed bollocks they come out with, regardless of what's happened on the pitch. Just to clarify, this isn't aimed at you, or most on this bored in particular. Just the idiots on the Twatter.

I saw someone attempt to claim Furlong is our worst player literally 2 days ago. He's in contention for our Player of the Season so far. Behind Yok, Mowatt and Kipre, he's probably 4th or 5th. Yet this biff just thinks he's shite regardless of how he actually performs. The same is true of Townsend and probably a few others.

By all means criticise players when they haven't played well, or cocked up. The Reach discourse over the past 2 days is a prime example of this. Didn't put a foot wrong Saturday, but looking at some biffs on Twatter, you'd think he'd scored an own goal to give Hull the draw.
That was probably me on Furlong bit as I've pointed out I go on game by game and he gave away 2 cheap goals in 3 games I don't think I'm being harsh .....and I've glady praised him up when he has played well .

You'll always get those fans who just won't have certain players, even when it's totally irrational. My response is always the same: "I take it you won't be celebrating if they score the winner then?". You'd be amazed how often the answer is "Too right. I won't celebrate if that prick scores". Absolutely bizarre mindset. And not a new one, goes right back to the days of Regis and Cunningham.  Sad

No, definitely wasn't you. The way you view it is fine and makes sense. They were doing a list on the Twatter, best player, worst player, more underrated etc. And they had Furlong as worst. Honestly mental to me.

Yeah it completely baffles me. We're meant to be fans, and supportive of the team. Not outright negative and detrimental to it.
