Just reversed almost all of outgoing PM's policies.
Fucked over twice

Mortgages gone up for those not on fixed and probable abandonment of energy support after April.

If you think and of these incompetent twats actually care about the general public over business then forget it if you think Labour wouldn't have to suck up to business then you are deluded
This is almost the budget that should have been delivered.

If you consider the government cares about businesses, then the reversal of the IR35 and Corporation Tax should make you reconsider that view.

If you actually meant the Bond Market, well I'm glad the government does care about the bond market. It should've cared much more about the bond market for over a decade. We won't get through a debt crisis without those who provide liquidity. Perhaps me banging on about debt since 2008 on here wasn't necessarily such a niche issue after all. And you're right - Labour will also have to suck up to the markets leaving them few options in the event they take office.

Arf you are still arguing you are right despite twelve years of the government you campaigned for proving you wrong.

It's easy being in opposition.

I am right. Every independent commentator and the bond markets (clearly) agree with me.

I look forward to your reasoned argument that I have *ever* been wrong to warn about the debt crisis that would eventually arise due to serial bailouts and incontinent public spending.

And here we are.
What an utter fuggin shambles
Having reversed the policies which resulted in a £50bn wipeout, the markets have responded with a whopping 0.8% increase in the value of the FTSE (which has lost 6% since Truss took over).

Hard to think what the Tory slogan will be in the next election. Can't be The Party of Economic Competency, can't be immigration, can't be unemployment, can't be Chaos with Kier. Is there anyone else left to blame?
I haven't seen any mention about what's happening to the lifting the cap on bankers' bonuses yet, has anyone seen anything about that?

Proth has brought up anti-semitic tweets again so they might go for that

At the end of the day the tories can shuffle the deck chairs and push forward the faces that havent been PM yet to try and fool the electorate

If i was them i would get out of office quickly and let Labour take the flak for a few years.

The economic shit show thats on the way will mean governments of either hue will be in crisis
