Can’t go wrong pal. Burton Rd superb now for bars and restaurants

Used to go to Didsbury a bit when I liked in Chorlton.

The Woodstock was a regular haunt.
Popped out for a few into Llandudno tonight for the first time in over a year with my best mate. Lots of effort made by the bars and pubs in general . Great to sup some fresh beer! Bloody cold though, even more so when the sun dropped. 4 layers and a snood. 5 degrees when i rolled back in for me tea. Shades of the Derby play off! (edit!)

The pubs like most businesses have been almost heroic through this.

Had a couple of good days in the sunshine last week in the Square in Athers drinking some ace real ale, very sweet after 6 months.  As you say you need to have the layers and scarf but it'll get better over the next few weeks.

Used to live off Burton Road (Central Rd) when I first moved up here. Used to love Alberts after the quiz at the Woodstock, good memories.
Woodman in Brum tomorrow lunchtime.
Burning Soul afternoon session booked for the following Saturday.
Feels a bit harsh to have a go at smokers for being outside, where do you want them to go to smoke? Can't say I've noticed it too much on my couple of visits to the pub. Most places seem to have a marquee up and you can't smoke under them so it's not too bad.

As an ex smoker it did piss me off how we’d go outside in winter to smoke and as soon as we go a nice sunny day everyone would wants to be outside and some moan that people smoking.  I’d light up more just to piss ‘em off even more. Big Grin

Good call - I rented on Central Road for a year or so around 1999
