Just shows you that they are not fit for government and Starmer is as week as piss.

This was the chance to show people they could lead by example and show the people they can stand up and be counted...... Well done to everyone of you who signed up for their membership...
They can't vote on a bill that doesn't support businesses no matter how much the essence of tiers might or might not be right. Tories put forward a bill that the party agree with partially but cannot vote on something that is such a fucking mess and doesn't have a plan in place to move forward, no testing plan, no consistent public health messaging, no consistent business support (same in the different tiers despite different restrictions in what the business can do) - it'd be as stupid as voting for Brexit without a plan because the idea is something we like, oh, yeah sorry bad example.

Tories - not very good on the detail but can wave flags well.
They could vote against these restrictions its as simple as that and try and force them to lower them they havnt...... Weak as piss... I wanted them to vote against it.
They could vote against. "Present, but not involved" as someone once said...
Why does it matter how or even whether Labour vote? The Tories have an 80 seat majority and should be able to steamroller anything through now that the malcontents on their back benches have got their Brexit and their chosen one as leader.

Where's the problem?

And what difference would that have made, Johnson can't be arsed to put together a proper plan let him worry about getting it through. If he considers ever doing some work he might create something that is worth voting on.
Labour's current policy seems to be "give them enough rope" which IMO is a bit risky. I'm hoping for more policy work when we get within 24 months of election time.
This pandemic will be long gone by the time the next election comes around yesterday's news.

It shows intent that they won't roll over for them win or lose on the vote this way they have tickled their bellies..... Whatever happens about restrictions now labour don't have a say in matters and if captain hindsight is to blame for not being more strong and I'm not a fan of his but he has no bollocks...... Put a fucking stop to this restrictions even if they lost they coukd say at least we tried.

Why would they put a stop to the restrictions? They are asking for more of a plan to get out of the restrictions (which are needed to control the virus), until they get the plan and / or proper support for businesses they are not going to agree to something. Voting against it would mean (with enough Tory backbenchers) that it would delay the restrictions which in turn would increase the spread of the virus causing more death. They want to see a plan to get out of this whilst still protecting lives and businesses.
You know they are not going to get anything off the tories..... They are no opposition its truly pathetic on their parts... I want out of these restrictions try and force their hands you might find with enough pressure they just might bend. I want to be protected BUT even I'm thinking it's time to let it ride..... Try and get the tiers down its for business sake and all of our mental well being......
