Good to see you are on top of the things and up to date with your favourite rant topic.

A two year old story!
What is Festival UK* 2022, aka the 'Festival of Brexit'?

Festival UK* 2022 is an upcoming UK-wide event, promising to include "ten open, original, optimistic, large-scale and extraordinary acts of public engagement that will showcase the UK's creativity and innovation to the world." The event was conceived by Theresa May's government and was intended to celebrate modern Britain in the wake of leaving the EU, leading to the nickname "Festival of Brexit".

Do you Read the sources you post? I suspect not after the last few you have posted and not been able to back up your inferences you claim they support.

“It's money that was already going to be paid…”
“Festival UK 2022 ended up with the nickname after being launched by Terresa May in 2018.”

Well, when the spending gets to the £789 million Tunna’s Dome cost, plus the cost of £1 million a month to keep it mothballed then selling the land estimated to be worth £48 mil for less than £29 million and all that for less than half the visitors predicted,  I’ll take note of your usual bile
I posted, a link and then a further description. Nothing more nothing less. The rest you have made up as I offered no opinion. You are obsessed with playing the man (me) not the ball. Give it a rest eh!

Your going on ignore.

How very brave of you not to defend your views.

So, you posted a link but offered no opinion. Why post it then? We all know why you posted it and what your opinion is of it.

You insisted it was a story announced yesterday. How come the article you linked, I repeat, you linked, says it was announced two years ago? Again, this last post is just bluster to detract from you being unable to defend your stance but unwilling to say you are wrong.

What, exactly, have I “made up”? I simply pointed out, using quotes from the article you linked, that the story is two years old and not announced yesterday as you stated. No invention there.

You don’t need to put me on ignore ‘cause you repeatedly ignore the questions you can’t or won’t answer because they prove you incorrect.
I am not obsessed with “Playing the man”, whatever that means in a discussion. (another question you didn’t answer, previously) I am obsessed with pointing out inaccuracy’, falsehoods and pure unsubstantiated  conjecture, of which you are by far and away the biggest proponent.

Finally, it makes no odds, you ignoring me. I shall still point out your inaccuracies, exaggerations and intentional or otherwise misrepresentation of sources.
It is a pretty shitty festival though isn't it.

I dunno, I haven't looked at the details of what is proposed. Money could be better spent, at this time. Although some of the budget, I did notice, was assigned to the Commonwealth games. So that would have been wasted sorry, spent, anyway.

As Foreveralbion wrote, "anything that celebrates and promotes what we are good at it in this country surely cant be a bad thing" can it?

Just because Journos, (Mischievous  or agenda driven) have tied it with an epithet doesn't make it all bad.

And nowhere near the money wasted, (one year too soon), on the millennium ‘celebrations’.

Whereas you're always completely objective and never take into account a poster's politics when deciding what they think, and why.  Angel
