I mean fook me I thought Corbyn was atrocious at a point in time when we needed proper opposition.

But Starmers tenure, and the stuff I read this weekend, makes me think perhaps Corbyn's labour wasn't so bad after all.

Completely wank opposition again at a time when the country needs them most.....
What has Captain Hindsight said now?

Starmer's head and shoulders above the likes of Corbyn and Johnson so come on !
Nothing about hindsight, he has asked for things from the government well before the events proved him correct on so many things.

He's the real adult leader in parliament compared to Captain Chaos Johnson.

What have you read this weekend?
Can you bullet point them ? Apart from the Anti Semitic stuff that won’t go away I’ve not seen too much that is detrimental.

Or are you copying my avatar?

Since the summer, Starmer's personal approval ratings have been around 40% positive; higher at times. Throughout the election campaign Corbyn's were around minus 40%, guaranteeing that he would lose.

That alone should be enough to answer your question.

He might as well sit on the Tory backbenches it's farcical.

In a week or so where Priti Patel scandal comes to light he allows the information that Corbyn is allowed back into the Labour party to come out.
Corbyn hasn't had the whip restored as far as I'm aware, just his party membership. This was also several days before the Patel stuff. Was there something else this weekend otherwise I'm not sure what you're getting at?

Other than people unable to move past Corbyn griping on social media I haven't seen much aggro directed at Starmer tbh. I also really don't get his "Tory-lite" accusation that people love to chuck at him. OK he's been knighted but as far as I can tell, has always shown reasonable commitment to left wing politics. He's a mile to the left of Blair for instance.
Let's be honest what Billy wants is for Starmer under Labour to hold the same point of view on how to handle the Covid 19 situation as the likes of Toby Young, Hartley Brewer, Steve Baker, Isabel Oakshotte and Daily Mail editorials. Even the language they use can be cut and pasted from one to the other, but they are the free thinkers and anyone who disagree's are 'sheeple'.

I disagree with BBs approach to Covid, but to-date this is a pretty accurate reflection of Starmer's tenure.

So many missed opportunities to put the boot in on the Tories and the polls are reflective of this.

No wonder none of them have a bad word to say about him.
There appears to be some confusion on how the Labour party is structured in so much that Keir has control over who is a member of the Labour party. He does have control over who is part of the parliamentary Labour party, which he has used to withdraw the whip from Corbyn i.e. not allow him back into the PLP. The Labour Party membership is a separate issue - however, and as much as they know this, the media that is afraid of him will tell the story as if they are 1 and the same thing and he has allowed Corbyn back in.

We're a long way off an election and as a member of the Labour party (of which Keir also didn't have a say over) I'm satisfied where we are compared to when I joined (nearly 12 months ago).
