Out of the French Open in the first round. Went out of the US Open in the first/second round last month.

Sadly it looks like he’s finished. A valiant attempt to return but looks like his injuries have done for him.

Indeed. Unlucky to be drawn against Stan W but even if he’d have had an easy draw he wouldn’t have got far, injuries have done him in the end.
He's done now.

Very sad, at his best one of the best ever, won Grand Slams in the most competitive era of Tennis ever.

Yep.

Perhaps a final swansong at Wimbledon in the Doubles?

He’s played in an era dominated by the greatest player to ever hold a racquet.

Even when Federer was off form he still had Nadal and Djokovic to contend with.
Tonight was painful to watch, Stan was streets ahead of him

He played beyond his bodies natural abilities and worked his bollocks off to get to the pinnacle of his sport. A proper British sporting legend and a critic of the useless LTA what’s not to like.

Kudos where it is due - he was brave to attempt a comeback and not rest on his laurels.

I never thought I would see a Brit in any Wimbledon singles finals.

From memory he was a losing finalist in 2012, then smashed Federer in the Olympics the same year and won Wimbledon the next.

Golden period for modern British Tennis.
