MOTD. Following the highlights spend 5 minutes wanking about Everton and say nothing about Diangana or Pereiras goals, yet Calvert-Lewis’s scruffy efforts get analysed, as does Rodriguez’s strike, which was no way better than either of our goals.
Not a sentence about how we played.
Don’t know if I’m surprised, but just shrugged it off as it’s been like this for 20 years.
Cue next week where they analyse Frank Lampard’s suit more than our performance.
Having the whole BT Sport, Sky and terrestrial package now, for the first time, it’s abundantly clear that most pundits know about as much about clubs going up as they do astrophysics.
The Championship truly is a hinterland ignored by even football experts.
Guess Murphy and Jenas Googled us to find Pereira was player of the year last season.
That will change to a degree when we get a few scalps and we will.
One of the worst things about being in the PL. Even having to mix with PL in the post match comment sections is bad, unlike in the Championship, PL fans are largely thick and ill-informed. Colin Murray does the EFL show on a budget of 5p, yet he does a better job than MOTD with their vastly overpaid presenters.

That's a really good point.

I don't care too much about how much media coverage we get (however, I expect better than what we do get) but what is indefensible if the genuinely bad coverage we do get by what are meant to be the best commentators on TV. You can watch a 6 hour stage of the Tour De France and the commentators will be able to fill all of that time. Yet on MOTD they don't even play back the two best goals of the game!? Not good enough is putting it lightly.

Spandau, I don't know why you bother tormenting yourself. This season I'd shuggest, ignoring MOTD entirely if you have watched the game on BT or Sky, unless we win a game. It's easy to ignore all media outlets and after match stuff (apart from direct interviews). I'm in my late thirties have been a avid fan, player and supporter for over 35 years, so I can make up my own darn mind, and don't need a twat in fancy dan threads telling me how we have or have not played, when I've watched it myself.

Fletcher repeated Periera being player of the season a couple of times, they watched the same BT feed as you, I and everyone else did.
There was no greater example of this than when we beat Chelsea in AVB's last game before he got the boot.

MOTD highlights showed first half was all Chelsea....second half was all Chelsea again...we get lucky with a break and score, then all Chelsea again.

AVB's post match interview 'We were outclassed by West Brom today all over the pitch for the entire game'.

Spandau, take the advice of others and never bother with MOTD unless we win.....there're all biased twats who hate anyone messing with their clique of top teams.
As people have alluded to above, I’m not sure why anyone is surprised or outraged by any of this.

The Premier League attracts a global audience of billions, yet the vast, vast majority only really care about the top 5-6 teams. They’re not going to waste time talking about us when they know everyone just wants to get to the next match.

All the media are doing us giving the majority what they want.
I haven't watched MOTD consistently for years now. If I want to watch highlights of the games, I'll just load up the extended highlights from Sky or something. Given the time constraints they have, they'll never be able to show everything of the game, and invariably they are biased towards the bigger teams as that generates a bigger audience.

As others have said, just don't watch it.
Has Davina announced who the first housemate is yet?
I'm a bit surprised the OP hasn't drawn Duffers' Abe Simpson pic out of hiding.   Rolleyes
