Drinking far too much alcohol!
More repetition in the walks than we're used to, but you do get to see how quickly the landscape - particularly the leaf cover - develops over a period of a few weeks. What were open views a few weeks back can now only be glimpsed from the odd vantage point.

Also seeing the odd spring/summer migrant, although not in any great numbers: a blackcap yesterday; just the one. Jobs around the garden, some of them a couple of years overdue, are getting done.
Drinking habits have definitely changed - it's now 2-3 bottles a day as oppose to storing up the units for match day....

Sleeping in until 8:30 and then having breakfast in the sun most mornings will certainly be missed too...
No French easy living in peace and quiet.
Definitely more beer. Just had 20 cans of fantastic Oakham IPA delivered to add to the garage-full!

Since we've been allowed out I've been hiking, climbing or running most days and the lockdown chub has started to recede.

Cooking much more elaborate things (gravlax and arancini balls today)

PS currently sporting the 02/03 away kit!

Now that is something I would love to get back into. Loved climbing when I was in Uni (nearly 30 years ago so my ability may have changed  Big Grin  ). Good on yer chammy!

Can't be that nice if you've still got a garage full of the stuff. More effort required Sol'. Just had some crisps with my nice cold Moretti, they were my first crisps since lockdown. I don't feel the best and it's not the lager that's done it. No more crisps for me.

Must be some kind of miracle as mine fell apart about 5 minutes before Half-Time at Old Trafford

No....this is one I haven't ordered before. Problem is that I order a box and then see another I quite fancy, usually mixed boxes. My favourites are pre-ordered but I need to stop ordering and start drinking some of the others in the garage!

I was part of a very friendly climbing/mountaineering club in the Birmingham area before I moved over here: mercianmc.org.uk should the mood ever strike you! Joining was probably the best decision I ever made.
