It wont - all the payments are based on retrospective filing of returns, not new claims as such.

I get that there is no easy way to do it but the social cost of a 3 month wait will be far worse.

If you havnt been self employed for 12 months you are fucked. Even worse if your partner is working you cant claim universal credit .

I agree with you completely. Helicopter money is a far more effective tool for this cohort. The savings in administration and bureaucracy are huge.
