The story is from Peter O'Rourke who used to be a Sky Sports. So he probably has some 'contacts' but does that mean anything?

It doesn't really take a genius to work out that we're likely to be interested in a young, good, attacker that may appreciate in value.

Just had a quick scan through his twatter account. Mentions Bowyer confirmed Lyle Taylor of Charlton turned down a contract extension yesterday. We've been linked to Taylor before so I'm surprised he hasn't re established an Albion link as yet. Still, the day is young.

Signing Taylor seems pointless. Unlikely to be good enough for the Prem and he’s 29.

And based on his tweets in the run up to the election he's a massive fucking Tory. So it's a no.

He's like most of the citizens of West Bromwich then.

Imagine Taylor was the insurance choice if we didn't get Austin. £3m would have been a decent price, but can't see us still holding an interest.

If we want another out an out forward, I'd have thought it would be a loan move unless we are certain he can also be an asset to us whichever division next season. Maybe someone like Connor Wickham if he's fully fit again? It's that or give one of the youngsters a go and to be fair, the path way seems well and truly open these days.

I think we can scratch Bowen off the list, miles apart and would take some real convincing

What's the name of that number 9 at Barnsley who put two past us? He's a good player.

That's the one Manc.

25 years old 9 in 20 in a struggling side? Has looked their best player every time I've seen them.
