The candidate they parachuted in exemplified the hypocrisy of labour. A kebab tycoon who was forced to pay back 11k he tried to smuggle out of the country in a tax evasion scam and pays £4 a hr to his staff.

I was Skypeing a colleague who lives in Warrington this morning. She told me that in Warrington North, they also had a Labour canadidate from London, which hasn't gone down well. The local paper asked her who her favourite Warrington Wolves player was and she started talking about Warrington Town FC., clearly not knowing Warrington is a rugby league town. The Labour majority there has been slashed.
