Just for balance in the second half of this season we got 34 points, replicated over a season, probably not enough to get a play off spot.

And although goals conceded per game reduced, so did goals scored per game.

A rare occurrence of where tightening your defence led to a significant reduction in average points earned per game.

I think the team and management really thought promotion was sealed by Christmas, so when there was a wobble, everyone mentally crumpled. That and rapidly declining fitness rates during lockdown.
