The Boris plan coming to fruition

Given the divided nature of the country I think this election is very difficult to call and Johnson wouldn't have wanted to stake everything on it.

PS. If anyone has any evidence of anti-semitism (rather than criticism of israeli-policy) that Corbyn could reasonably be held responsible for (ie not social media comments from random dickheads) I'd be interested to see it. The anti-semitism thing seems like the most obvious smear campaign I've ever seen. I like Corbyn but I also recognise he needs to go if we're going to beat the Tories for any length of time as the attacks on him aren't going to stop and are a huge distraction. Furthermore, Diane Abbott is one of the most impressive parliamentarians to have held the office.  I'm not a fan of bringing race/sex into everything but the repeated references to mistakes she's made (which pale in comparison to public errors by those currently in govermment) does make one wonder
Would you disagree that referring to members of an organisation that seeks to murder Jewish people and destroy the state of Israel as friends counts as anti semitism?
As for Diane Addup she is one of the biggest hypocrites in office. She sends her son to a private school and then wants to not only remove the ability for other parents to do the same but also seek to end grammar school education (comrade jezza went to one of the best in the country). Talk about champagne socialism and pulling the ladder up behind you .....

The NHS had the highest approval ratings and shortest waiting times for many years. Things were not perfect, PFI was an awful scheme for example but they are better than they are now.

The Tories lobbied for even less regulation on the financial sector. This is an inconvenient truth that some like to erase from memory. Do you really think a Conservative government would have stood on a manifesto of more regulation on the City?

I think it’s your good self that is suffering from amnesia if you go to AE now you might just get seen by around 9-10pm tonight on average.

I'm not sure why labour mps would want to smear Corbyn like this without reason and the charge of the Jewish Chronicle in London is from preventing action against anti semites in the party and siding with anti semites - eg attending a wreath laying ceremony for those involved in the Munich terrorism and murder of Jews (he didn't participate though, so thats ok then - a bit like the I smoked but didn't inhale excuse).

If it was the Tories saying it the smear theory holds water, but it's criticism mostly from within the Labour party ranks and the UK Jewish community it seems to me. Worth reading the Chronicle editorial for the evidence they supply.  Ruth Smeeth - a Jewish labour mp has not quit but still accuses Corbyn and says she will fight anti semitism from within. Good for her but I dont rate her chances.

For all that I'd like to see a decent socialist opposition that I could vote for - this isn't it and I dont but the cuddly Corbyn image. He is more careful of what he says now re Hamas and other terrorist groups and so on but his views I think have not changed. I fear him coming to no 10 more than Johnson to be honest and I dont see how Labour can win with him.

I’d ask for your money back, your amnesia seems to have worsened since the start of this election campaign.

People arguing about the Blair/Brown years. New Labour were virtually a Tory Party tribute act.

Johnson just blatantly lied about his claims for 40 new hospitals yet again. Is this the new politics we can expect now? Just say absolutely anything, whether it’s true or not?

This on the back of him and Hancock suggesting it was ‘demand’ In A&Es that was the problem not their government’s policies and cuts to frontline services, failure to invest in nurses and doctors, failure to address funding and capacity issues in social care, mental health the list of failures is longer than the wait at A&E,

Tories made this mess and won’t clear it up, it won’t be helped only hindered by Brexit and the insidious underlying idea that it’s immigrants fault because of ‘demand’ (not what they say but what they don’t say) makes me shake my head on disbelief at how far this country has fallen in a decade.
