How do they actually measure that?

No idea. I've seen a few claims that education has been a factor. I am more startled by the age factor in the Brexit vote.

How can you say such a thing when the likes of MDP use words like 'erudite' to shame others and reinforce their clear intellectual superiority?

There was a clear correlation between the poorly educated and those that voted out.

Again though, how do they measure that too? I can only assume they use exit polls, but they've been less than reliable recently. I just question the reliability of these studies.

The fact you think that anyone could be impressed by that word, or would use that word to impress, says a lot.

Why did you vote to stay in the EU, by the way?

It's a pretty stupid to conflate intelligence and educational attainment. The two are undoubtedly linked but the reason why people with more qualifications tend to have voted to remain is simply because younger people are better-qualified than older people (over 50% of 18 yo now go to university), and their idealism was a large part of their reasoning for voting to stay in.
