It would stay up under TP.

Somehow I don't see him adapting too well to life in China.

Shirt sales would go through the roof if we got Wazza.

You'd have to be a bit of a moron to ignore that he'd improve the squad. We've got about as much chance of landing on the Sun as we have signing him mind.

You say that but having been to Thailand and Malaysia a couple of times does anywhere sell official replica gear? Can imagine it's that much different in China either. All seems to be knock-offs.

The head coach is not even sure that we could keep hold of Evans let alone tempt someone with
the quality and earning potential of Rooney to join

Indeed. Most perplexing statement from TP the other day.

Still a class player. Unfortunately the Hawthorns unlikely to be his next destination.

He hasn't been class for at least 2-3 years now.

Same was said about Evans before we bought him. He's an excellent player still. Much better than anyone else currently in our side. And at 31 he's plenty of playing time ahead if him.

He'd add a lot of energy and work to the midfield area (surely can't be considered a striker anymore), which TP would love.

Be nice to have him, but not a hope in hell of signing him, his wages would be far beyond us. Likely to go to the MLS.

Who was saying that about Evans?

Rooney has been in stark decline for ages now. He's 31 and plays like a 37 year old.

When was his last great performance for club or country?

The only thing that side would win would be the "oldest team in the Premier League" award. Somewhere over 31 years average, I reckon. With the pace and sharpness of McAuley and Terry at centre back, we could challenge for the "most goals conceded" as well. Good thing it's only a wind-up.
