Forgive me for stating the bleeding obvious. But unless you've been under a rock for the last 20 years we have around 15 of these every transfer window when, after someone has moved somewhere for a lot of money, we say afterwards we tried to get them.

I know Gayle wants to come back but very little chance of that happening at the moment. I'd like us to gatecrash the move for Sam Gallagher from Saints to Blackburn too. Also like both the back up forwards at Bournemouth, particularly Mousset (Surridge is the other and did well at Oldham last season).

I have a contact up in the North East. He's back doing pre-season at the moment but as Pidge has already mentioned, this was before we sold Rodriguez. I guess he's not happpy about the current Newcastle situation. Then again, who is? The fans can't believe they've broken up the 3 amigos as they called them (Rondon, Perez, Almiron) who were brilliant together.

Currently plays for Strasbourg but a South African International. I've noticed him at African Cup of Nations and he's really impressed me with his hold up play, touch and passing. Works very hard and think he'd get goals in the Championship.
