Brexit Party

Yeah, leave Europe, spend money on the NHS, put more coppers on the streets. All vote winners that they won't be able to deliver but they don't have to worry about that.

You're Alistair Campbell and I claim my Five British Pounds.

I'm getting a strong sense of déjà vu.

Some Labour MPs (Lammy, Charalambous, McDonnell amongst others) have been Tweeting about the rejection of a racist party, bigots, etc.

Owen Jones has Tweeted that 'An army of hope' saw-off The Brexit Party.

Femi Oluwole, the man who has manufactured a public persona on social media and who thinks what is quite an average law degree makes him an expert on EU matters, also celebrates the Labour win.

Meanwhile, Margaret Hodge wants the winning candidate to have the whip removed already, Jess Phillips has also Tweeted that she cannot be grateful or proud and laments what the Party has become.

Yet it is a victory over bigotry, apparently, to some. AFAIK, no-one has found anything untoward in the views of the Brexit Party candidate, or his social media.

Strange times we're in.

An army of postal votes seems to be closer to the truth.

The Brexit Party is Bigoted and Racist - Can't see how anybody can argue otherwise.

Let's see your evidence for that, not least as being as its MEPs double the number of BME people in that 'parliament'. Tell us how many Commissioners have ever been BME whilst you're at it.

The bar is pretty low if we're gonna start praising candidates for not having done anything openly repulsive

It wasn't an item for praise, merely an observation as is clear from the context in which it was used.
