Poisoned Chalice

Seems to me whoever comes in has to get us promoted otherwise they'll be an utter failure. Sacking Moore indicates the only possible success measure is promotion, despite many fans saying at the start of the season they'd be happy with the play offs a change of style and a restored sense of pride in the club. Moore has delivered all of that and it's not considered enough to keep his job. The new manager isn't going to be heralded for maintaining our play off spot over the next 8 games and with automatic oi t of the question if he doesn't get us up surely he'll be judged a collosol failure? It feels like a fairly unique time to sack a Gaffer. Has anyone else down similar? Not sure when Huddersfield sacked Lee Clarke or if his replacement got them up that year?
