RIP Pete, his music was a big part of my formative years. He leaves behind a brilliant legacy.

One of my favourite singers, and a brilliant songwriter. Genuinely saddened to hear this. He's been a big influence on me in the years I've played in bands, and I've spent many a great evening at Buzzcocks gigs. What a voice. RIP Pete.

Remember sitting in my dad's car outside my nan's house in Yew Tree Road, Smethwick, listening to the Top 40 and hearing "Everybody Happy Nowadays". Still think it's a great record. RIP Pete.
