Have you been?

I haven't no. Not sure if I would be able to handle it to be honest, having read the experiences of people that have been. Must be an awful yet strangely fascinating place.

Have you been?

A few times. Not seem anything else that has the impact that that place does. Not entirely sure it will 'work' in the case above but a novel approach.

Correct. Really thought there had been improvement - but this and the episodes in Paris don't help.

Its hard to believe just how bad these scumbags were in the 80s, racially abusing their own black players - as well as those of everyone else.  The Paul Canoville book is a decent read.

Hi - as a Guardian reader you probably see the good in everyone and believe even the most twisted and evil can be rehabilitated by some pullover wearing leftie on a £100,000 public sector salary.

Sadly this is the level of Chelsea fans http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1060856.stm - incurable scum.

The Guardian is for Centrist Dads.

I haven’t yet given up on everyone though, that is true.

I was in Krakow in the summer and couldn't face going. Partly because we were only there for 3 full days and it's a full day and partly because I didn't feel I needed to. We did other sites commemorating the holocaust and Krakow ghetto mind.

Agreed.

People talk about how harrowing it is etc but it's hard to put into words to someone who hasn't been.

It's also the coldest place I've ever been in my life. Really drove home the suffering that happened there and the awful conditions.

As a new poster how do you know what paper anyone on here reads or who is a 'leftie'? It's an attempt to do good and I hope it has some success.

Like the man says, banning them from The ground ain’t going to change their views.

Hi - the poster linked to The Guardian website, and ‘quite liked’ the notion that scum like Mariner etc could be changed by a trip to Poland. If it was the first time I’d ever been on here I would have deduced that!

I actually had a PM from a former regular contributor welcoming me on here - but also explained why he predominantly now just ‘lurks’ do this sort of passive aggressive post from Mayo.

I can see his point - particularly as jokes about people with learning difficulties are not even challenged by the board moderators.
