The police , frequently, don`t do themselves any favours. During the first lockdown, last year, my wife had to self isolate, having had covid symptoms. This meant I had to do all our shopping etc. Standing in a queue at Morrisons, two coppers turned up, and started `interrogating`people coming out, asking if the shopping was essential etc. If not we can fine you. The bloke in front of me shouted at them, that he had phoned the police due to his house being burgled, and was told `sorry, we have no officers available`etc, but you can find officers to hassle shoppers or whatever. The coppers got back in their car and left.

Actually they wouldn't do anything about you doing 33 in a 30 as that is under the tolerance of 10% + 2
