Donegal - just referring to that match at your place when Shotton just pipped Foster to the ball to score a last minute winner. It was probably one of the last of our victories in that long winning streak of ours.

2 more at the Hawthorns after that.

Dean fugging Whitehead and that Fat Scotch Rabbit

Considering we’re the 2nd oldest club in the world (or something like that), Charlie’s late winner that day gave us the ‘Midlands top team’ for the first time ever. How ridiculous is that?

Never knew that DK. Always assumed that there must have been other times when you finished as top dogs.
Would be an interesting table to see mind, I guess Villa would be top when it comes to highest midlands team.

Only real way it can be done is if you tally up all top flight points, and tabulate.

1. Villa 4712 (5th in country)
2. West Brom 3136 (11th in country)
3. Derby  2510 (16th)
4. Wolves 2480 (17th) - Wolves can realistically move into 3rd next season but will be about 15-20 seasons behind us
5. Forest 2404 (20th)
6. Stoke 2294 (22nd)
7. Birmingham 2146 (23rd)
8. Leicester 1998 (25th)
9. Coventry 1500 (28th)

I think SW4 has forgotten to take into account that Wolves will be pushing 100 points a season and therefore only take 7 years to catch us.

Claudio's passing in his first season was exemplary which is what reportedly brought him to the attention of Manure.

Nice fade out to the Villa fans flicking the V’s at Boro! Big Grin

They were singing it to their own small time pitch invaders.

It's lazy to say our players can't pass. Whilst Pulis's training clearly didn't help, our issue is more the lack of options and movement to make the pass. Every professional footballer can (should) be able to complete the majority of passes, but when the lack of movement constantly puts you under pressure to make hollywood passes, your completion will suffer.

Man City and Barca's teams were made up of movement, not just an uncanny ability to pass (in the main, De Bruyne is a freak).
