Reading stories like this, it always shocks me how detached the people calling the shots at football clubs tend to let themselves be.

It was clear long before they were sacked that both Pardew and Pulis were disliked by the players and it was negatively impacting performances. What do these people seem to think will happen if they keep the manager in situ? 

I know there’s a lot to be said for trying to not pander to player pressure, but when the stakes are as high as they are in the PL it’s shocking how long CEOs drag things out.
