The guy was a genius, although apparently a pretty unpleasant wanker. Still, his music will outlast all that.

Right. Dunno what's happened to the numbering, but, as official list collator, Erasure were 172. This is 173 and The Eurythmics is now 174. The list is stickied at the top so we shouldn't get into a mess.

Anyhoo. His New York album is particularly magnificent. The sleeve notes say that it should be consumed to in one continuous sitting, like a novel or a movie. However, from that album, I pick Strawman, a song as relevant now as it was when it was written in 1988/89.

So many others to choose from, too.
