Christ, I hope it’s not as bad as that season. The only saving grace was that I missed most of that season as I was playing school matches on a Saturday afternoon.

Wish I was  - ours were Wednesday afternoons (6th form), which meant I saw 100% of our league victories that year!  Surely this one can't be as bad as that...?

During that shambles I was actually wondering if there are any teams we may nick points off, I mean obviously ignoring Chelsea as they are nothing Wink

'85, the start of the doom years. At least this time around we've got parachutes to keep the club afloat.... Next season's Champ is going to be all about the money methinks.

If the squad hasn't had at least 4/5 additions based on our obvious deficiencies which has been blatantly highlighted in our first 4 games, then we are going to struggle to keep out the bottom 3 - we are currently 19th.

We all hope that Ivanovic is going to make a difference, but who knows?

Gallagher's a rookie so I don't think we should place too much hope on him.

Over to you Dowling,  biggest 31 hours of your career.

Unfortunately we don't have Blues in the division this season. 2 of our 4 wins that season were against them.

Worse than 2002? Everyone tells me Megson didn't have a chance keeping that side up.

Nor Watford, did we beat them 3-1,  got hammered away 5-1 mind

Our 4th win was Southampton at home. 1-0

I'm assuming you mean the 85 squad Rick? Smile  If so, can't disagree. Four wins all season, across 42 games. Probably my most depressing season as an Albion fan.

I'm sure we'll fair better this season than 85, but it's going to be a very tough season to endure again.

We need everyone to perform at 7 out of 10, or better, every game if we're to have a chance. No where near that today unfortunately.
