Back on the menu, and this time they're digital!

Not only a massive erosion of our civil liberties but also the government will have access to more information than a physical ID card and given the government track record with digital schemes I can't wait until they inevitably fuck up and people get their IDs accidentally deleted or someone gets access to information that they shouldn't have.

The "benefit" is that it makes it easier for governments to track citizens. That benefits the government, not the citizens.
