Way this year is going.

Villa win the Cup, and stay up on the last day.

Wolves win the Europa League and get Champions League football.

We finish 7th.

Having just seen the handball they got away with last night, I'm inclined to agree. The jacksie bastards.

Villa’s cup run in perspective...

they played Wolves under 23 team and Liverpool’s under 23 team with a few additions. It has been a very fortunate run.

Add Liverpool finally winning the league to that list too.

I remember some old school club chairman saying, "Give me a lucky manager over a good manager any day".
Smith is certainly lucky. Last February after we won at VP I was in a pub in Aston listening to them saying he would need sacking if things continue.
