Ferguson conundrum - Peachy - 09-22-2019

Wtf do we do when Gibbs is fit? Ferguson is showing himself to be a brilliant defender and there is no way he should be dropped.

Furlong is also playing brilliantly and his partnership with Phillips is scarily good and again no way you can leave him out.

Gibbs will have to wait his turn.

Not looking good for Townsend though....

With Hegazi back it looks a decent 4

I can see Gibbs being sold in January if we receive a healthy offer.

At the moment that would be good business

RE: Ferguson conundrum - ColliersWoodBaggie - 09-22-2019

No way should we sell Gibbs. Townsend, - maybe. Anyway it is long season.

Gibbs will need to be patient but it's Bilic's call/'problem'.  It's unlikely Ferguson will last 50 games so everyone will get a chance.

If the right offer comes in, given his contractual situation and age, I think we'd be silly not to consider it but I still think Gibbs has a role to play... Ferguson is only a kid, albeit Norwich's kids at fullback didn't do too badly last season, and Townsend is nothing more than squad filler for a team looking to get out of this division.

It's a marathon season for  everyone, let alone a youngster. I wouldn't be in a rush to get rid of anyone.

What a wonderful problem to have though.

RE: Ferguson conundrum - Sliced - 09-22-2019

Hegazi straight in. Gibbs has to wait. He's been a bit shaky anyway recently
