I have a vague memory of him injuring himself (a hamstring) doing a back heel at Meadow Lane. He may have just injured himself and I dreamed it whilst doing a back heel! He loved a back heel did that fella.

Your memory serves you well. I think he lasted about 5/6 minutes before he limped off, we lost 3-2 and I think Paul Devlin scored twice. He was linked with us a few times but never signed. You will note Winston White is in that team!
Rees defo got injured at Notts C but we lost that 2-0
Devlin scored twice in the return at the hawthorns. We were 2 up but got pegged back to 2-2. We then won the game in the last minute
Bonus points for the Notts County manager that day and WBA scorers
