Dylan "Rough and Rowdy Ways" - Solihull Throstle - 12-27-2020

Had it for Christmas.
Just listening to it and agree fully with the brilliant reviews.
If this is his last work he has signed off with a true masterpiece.

Agree. The man's a genius.
There's only been about 3 world changing popular music geniuses IMO.
He's one.

+100% a masterpiece

RE: Dylan "Rough and Rowdy Ways" - Tom Joad - 12-27-2020

Total agreement. I play Key West,The Philosopher Pirate most days. A masterpiece. Bob has reinvented himself more times than I can remember and has made an unbelievable number of absolute classic albums, He certainly has some back catalogue.

Album of the year for me - murder most foul, I contain multitudes and key west I think my favourites tracks although the whole album is quality...

RE: Dylan "Rough and Rowdy Ways" - Cheshire East Baggie - 12-27-2020

Saw him in London about 1981. Earls Court I think. Garbage gig as I recall. Wished I'd saved my £7.99.

Funny how sometimes you see a legend live and are disappointed.

At a guess I'd say Elvis has got to be one. Whether you like his music or not, he inspired others.

I was wondering that.

I don't much like Elvis' music but you couldn't argue his influence.

The third one.....Bowie, Lennon, Cohen, Marley?

I love Dylan's music but am unsure about the man.
Seen him 4 times.
Disappointed 3 of those times!
